Myia was founded in 2018 with the desire to improve the Swiss feed system.

The name means fly in ancient Greek and represents our ability to take timeless solutions from nature to solve some of the problems plaguing the Earth.

Myia is a fast-growing company, ready to take its business ideas to every place where people want to start he transition to a circular economy.

Today, we are the only farmers of the Black Soldier Fly in Switzerland and we have the know-how and expertise to operate in the Switzerland as well as the European market.

The plant

A 3,500 square metre plant located in Biasca, in the heart
of Ticino region and in a strategic area from a logistic point of view.

This plant will be fully automated and operational
from 2024, a demonstration for our future development
in Switzerland.

Furthermore, it will guarantee us to process 30 t/ day
of food waste and it will be characterized by a innovative
R&D area and a full-equipped lab for the quality control
department.
